Cam Sites – Live Chat and Adult Webcam Platforms
How adult cam sites actually work: token pricing, what free chat includes, privacy and recording questions, and what members say about the main platforms.
How cam site pricing really works
Almost all cam platforms use tokens rather than subscriptions. Public chat is typically free to watch; private shows, tipping and direct messages cost tokens. The confusion usually comes from the gap between 'free to enter' and 'free to participate'.
Work out the real cost per minute before buying tokens. Token bundles are priced to make the per-unit cost hard to compare, which is deliberate.
Privacy and recording
Assume anything on camera can be recorded, regardless of platform policy. If you appear on camera yourself, keep identifying detail out of frame. Reputable platforms prohibit recording, but a prohibition is not a technical control.
What members report
- Public chat quality varies enormously by time of day
- Token prices differ more between bundles than between platforms
- Moderation response times are the clearest quality signal
- Platforms pushing hard for off-site payment are worth leaving
